Among the very last of the venerable Grand Banks 36 Classics to be built.  This '96 was in dealer inventory and commissioned in 1997.  Her single screw efficiency coupled with her bow thruster make her easy to own and operate.  Her island queen layout is the preferred option!    Major recent upgrades includes a brand new 5.5 kw Westerbeke generator winter of 16'/17'.  Brand new Xantrex 3000 watt inverter/charger March 2018! Very seriously for sale.

Accommodations

Accommodates up to five in two staterooms and the salon in a modified Grand Banks layout. Beautiful varnished teak joiner work throughout with some minor flat panels in the staterooms finished in Grand Banks Beige. The equally attractive cabin sole is teak and holly and is also varnished. The interior is wonderfully bright and airy thanks to the numerous windows (many of them sliding with screens) and hatches while artificial light is provided by stylish brass Grand Banks swivel reading lamps at each berth and settee as well as several teak framed overhead lights. Season extending warmth can be provided either the reverse cycle air conditioning (heat or cooling).

Starting forward is the Guest Stateroom with 6'6" V-berth below which there is storage in six drawers and a locker below the berth (as well as some bin type storage well forward) and in the voluminous hanging locker aft of the port V. The hanging locker is lined. Above the berth the hull is lined with varnished teak ceilings and a custom bookrack aft. Adjoining the forward stateroom is a private Guest Head featuring a cultured marble vanity and sink with H&C pressure water, good storage and an ensuite shower with separate sump, Techna vacuum type W.C. plumbed via a Y-valve to the holding tank. The forward cabin may be given complete privacy by means of a louvered teak door and sliding overhead teak hatch.

Up three steps to the wonderfully bright and airy Main Salon with Galley to port and Lower Helm Station to starboard. The Main Salon features a 6'6" L-shaped settee to starboard below which there is storage in a drop face locker fwd and a large cargo drawer aft. Dining is off of the superbly detailed Grand Banks teak drop leaf table with silverware drawer, secret storage compartment, and bottle storage below.  Forward of the settee is a dry bar and additional storage. Opposite the L-settee is the port side door aft of which is a short bench seat with storage under.  There is a filler to extend this in front of the door.

The Galley is forward and to port and is the standard Grand Banks configuration for the 36 and features refrigeration box fitted with Grunert 12 volt refrigeration system with additional refrigerated food storage in a 110 volt Frigobar unit on the flying bridge.   Princess 3 burner propane stove with oven plumbed to two 10 pound LPG cylinders.  Quick reheats are via the Princess Microwave.  At the aft end of the galley is a pull out cutting board that further expands the work surface. Above this is a cabinet with two lockers, while forward is a flip top crockery storage unit. Additional storage is in four drawers and two lockers. Opposite the range is the convenient tip out trash bin. The entire galley area provides for a very functional food preparation area with ample storage for food stuffs, utensils, and dinnerware.  Single basin stainless sink with pressure H&C water.

Down 3 steps to the Master Stateroom featuring the preferred Island Queen layout with drawer storage under, extensive additional drawer storage in a bureau to port and along the P&S sides of the stateroom.  forward and to port is a generous hanging locker while opposite to starboard is the Master Head. This space features a cultured marble vanity with under mount sink with H&C pressure water, Vacuflush W.C. plumbed to the holding tank and ensuite shower which drains to a separate sump with pump.
