Vessel Walkthrough

The Pearson 424 offers a unique layout well-suited to privacy while under sail, on the hook or at the dock. It gives you the benefits of a center cockpit interior while still being an aft cockpit design.

The owner’s master stateroom aft has direct access to the cockpit and helm from a private companionway. There is a double pullman berth to port with lots of storage cabinets above and below. In addition, the nav station, electrical panel, engine and mechanical systems are all located to starboard within this stateroom and there is one air conditioning unit dedicated solely to this space. In effect, this stateroom can be closed off from the rest of the interior for privacy while still allowing for complete boat management near the helm.

Just forward of the owner’s cabin, there is a good-sized head to starboard with a vanity, sink, storage space and a separate stall shower. This head is conveniently located where it can easily serve as a head for the master stateroom as well as serve as a day head.

The interior can also be accessed via the mid-ship companionway steps/ladder that lead directly into the main salon. This spacious area offers a U-shaped galley to port of the steps as well as a centerline table and two comfortable settees that can also serve as sea berths while underway. There is ample locker, bookshelf and coaming storage throughout this space.

Located forward of the main salon, the large guest stateroom has a V-berth and lots of storage including a hanging locker and additional drawer space. While this cabin doesn’t have a private head, it does offer a very convenient dressing table with a seat and a sink with hot and cold pressure water. Two ports and a large hatch provide ventilation while ash hull ceilings keep the space bright.

The spacious, U-shaped galley to port offers the best layout for safety while underway at sea. There is plenty of counter space and an opening hatch overhead. There is an in-counter, top-loading ice box converted to a refrigerator, microwave, 2-burner stove top with oven and double, stainless steel sinks. Storage is plentiful with shelves, lockers and a trash bin.
