Welcome to Fresh Water Boats

Three key factors cause the majority of the wear and tear on most boats. They are saltwater, sun and usage. (1) Inland boats sit in fresh water, not in corrosive salt water. (2) The further north you go, the less intense the sun, and hence, the less intense the amount of sun fade on the gelcoat and canvas. (3) Finally and most importantly is the length of the boating season. Most southern or coastal boats sit in the water year round, are used year round, and do not get pulled out from time to time in order to give their hulls the opportunity to dry out. A fresh water boat that is located inland, typically gets used 3 to 4 months of the year, then gets pulled and stored, either covered on the hard deck or inside stored in a heated facility. These boats have the least amount of exposure to these 3 harsh elements, and typically the further north you go, the nicer the boats. Our advice to our clients is always the same, "Buy a fresh water boat located in the northern section of the country."

Whether you have a boat for sale or need help in finding your dream boat, FreshWaterBoats.com wants to help you. We have more fresh water and Great Lakes boats for sale than any other broker. A Great Lakes boat is simply a fresh water boat and normally used only 3-4 months per season. If this is the type of boat you're looking for or have for sale, call FreshWaterBoats.com 989-891-9610 or click on the link below to request information. Let us use our expertise to help you.

The internet has revolutionized the way pre-owned boats are purchased and sold. You will have peace of mind knowing that you are dealing with an established company that has very high ethics, morals and standards. FreshWaterBoats.com has been in business since 1995 and we have been at our current physical address since 1999. We are insured and bonded with Western Surety Company, and are a member of the Yacht Brokers Association of America. We advertise on various internet sites such as: Yacht World, Trader Online, Boats.com, Used Boats, Internet Boats, Boatsville, Boat Quest, and Iboats, all of whom require honesty. We will make buying or selling your boat an almost effortless and enjoyable experience for you. Enjoy your life and your boat while you can!

We are different than most brokers. We use a "SPECIAL PROCESS" to save you time and money when purchasing a boat when there is considerable distance between you and the boat you are interested in. We will let you talk directly to the owner of the boat to answer any questions you might have. A prepurchase survey can be arranged for you by a certified surveyor that will give you their honest, professional opinion. Our experienced staff will assist you in negotiating the best possible price, transportation quotes, survey, travel accommodations, financing etc. We provide you with as much information as possible so that you are able to make an informed decision before you take the time and expense to make a personal inspection.

If you have an excellent or above average boat for sale, call FreshWaterBoats.com at 989-891-9610 or e-mail us at the address below, regardless of where you live.
