Coverage


Hull & Equipment Coverage- Below please find a brief describtion of a marine policies standard coverages:


Agreed Value- Yacht owner will be paid the insured value in the event of a total loss. The insurance company will not depreciate from the insured amount. This is the preferred coverage, all of EP Marine's policies are agreed value unless other wise stated.


Actual Cash Value- The Company will pay the depreciated value (actual cash value) at the time of loss.


Protection & Indemnity Liability- Provides the named insured coverage for the following:


Bodily injury    Wreck removal    Property damage    Maintenance & Cure   


Jones Act        Death on the High Seas Act


Defense in Admiralty Jurisdiction


US Longshoreman's & Harborworkers


Medical Payments- Cover for the named insured and his guests while onboard the boat, boarding or departing the boat.


Uninsured Boater- Bodily injury coverage for the insured if caused by an uninsured boater or hit & run vessel. This coverage will pay above and beyond the medical payments coverage.


Personal Property Coverage- Provides coverage for personal effects or sporting gear while aboard the boat. Jewelry, money, and other valuable papers or documents are exclude from this coverage.


Towing- Provides coverage for fees the insured may incur for professional towing services.
