BVI Regatta 2010
March 29th to April 4th.
Nanny Cay, Tortola BVI
Please join us aboard our own Swan 48 named "Avocation" for our 4th BVI Spring Festival and Regatta. The BVI Regatta is one of the most social regattas in the Caribbean. All the events are based out of two locations and almost everyone hangs around together at night.
Crew would fly into Beef Island Tortola on Monday March 27th and stay until the following Monday April 5th. The first part of the Festival is a practice race to the Bitter End Resort. We spend a day there sailing small boats or relaxing before sailing back to Nanny Cay the next day. Friday the real racing begins with the 3 day BVI Regatta.
We have a new carbon rig and a new set of sails so we are competative racing in the spinnaker division. The sailing is some of the prettiest in the Caribbean as the race courses take us through and around the islands. If you would like to join us please contact us and place a $500 depsoit now. The balance of $2000 is not due until 45 days before the event.
Accommodations
We charter a 6 cabin Catamaran for the event so half the crew stay on the support boat and half stay aboard Avocation. Nanny Cay Marina has a great pool, a beach and the nicest showers and bathrooms in the BVI. We race up to the Bitter End Resort one day, spend a full day there and then sail back to Nanny Cay Marina for three days of serious around the island Races.
