The 1975 48’ C&C Custom built by C&C Yachts at Eric Bruckmann’s custom division yard was a boat years ahead of its time in both design and construction techniques. Light weight coupled with an extremely stout standing rig capable of carrying a large square footage sail plan make for a fast and delightfully lively sailing vessel. Below decks one is surprised by the excellent layout, comfortable accommodations, and beautiful joinery workmanship completely out of character with her elegant hull form and surprising turn of speed. XENN started life in the great lakes before being purchased by the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis Maryland where it was used in their training fleet and maintained without regard to cost for 8 years until being purchased by the current owner. XENN has remained very close to her origins with very little in the way of updating over the years but offers the possibility of comfortable short term cruising and offshore racing in her current state or with a little attention to detail and some systems upgrades she could be turned into a serious blue water cruising boat or circumnavigation candidate.
