Description:
THE PERFECT TIME TO GO SAILING IS NOW.
From the elegant carbon-fiber Y-spoke wheel to the fine teak trimmed joinerwork below, or simply by the smooth, graceful way it slides through the water, the J/124 is every bit a sailing yacht...in the best sense of the word. One that is a joy to sail in all conditions with few crew and with little need to rely on the 40-hp saildrive diesel.
If you've realized that the joy of sailing is a priority in your life. If you've experienced how the acceleration and response of a well-designed boat can work wonders for your soul. If you've wanted to share a unique sailing experience with your family, children, grandchildren, and your friends. Or if you dreamed of being able to escape for a solo sail on the spur of the moment, the J/124 is the "J" for you.
This boat is a "custom" production boat, and was commission with close attention to every detail both inside and out. "Gone Again" has many additional upgrades: Espar Heater, all Cherry interior including the ceilings in the forward and aft cabins, Cherry doors throughout, custom dinning table, and stove with oven, upgraded foam mattress in forward berth, Hoyt jib boom, electric halyard winch, seawater wash down for anchor and in galley. There is so much more, take a look at the full specs.

Layout
Construction: Hull and Deck
J/124 is built to hold its value over time. Patented SCRIMP construction offers twice the strength of conventional hand-laid glass, because the vacuum-bagged, resin-infusion process leaves no entrapped air in the laminate and eliminates secondary bonds. The shape of the composite hull and the underwater foils are optimized for minimal resistance through the water, an evolution from J's that have dominated the European IRC events. For increased stability, the J/124 features a Hall Spars carbon mast and low VCG lead keel.
Gone Again sports a white hull with contrasting Smoke White non-skid and Flag Blue boot and cove stripes.
Accomodations
The J/124 has a sensible and inviting interior. It is an open design to let you enjoy time with family and friends, while providing comfortable sleeping accommodations for six (6). The all cherry interior (a Gone Again upgrade) offers the warmth of more traditional sailing yachts while still giving the J Boat performance. The J/124 has a teak and holly cabin sole and features 6 foot head room. The main salon has two (2) 6' 6" settee/berths covered in Murious Night Blue fabric. The owner had a stationary, solid cherry dinning table installed and, this boat also offers the luxury of an Espar Heater.
There is a very functional galley that includes a 2 burner Force 10 stove and oven, and single S/S sink to port and, DC Refrigeration to starboard. To starboard is the navigation station with chart table, instrument console, and handy storage drawers.
The enclosed head is aft to starboard with marine head, and hot and cold pressurized water for the sink and shower. There is a roomy aft cabin to port with double bunk and hanging locker.
You enter the forward cabin through louvered, French doors which are not only very classy looking but very practical when stowing sails. There is V-Berth with upgraded memory foam mattress that may be more comfortable than the mattress you sleep on at home!
The J/124 is quite versatile with her accommodations very adequate for day sailing and quite luxurious for weekending with your Yacht Club or by yourself.
