General Description
The Hatteras 65 Convertible is the most popular sportfishing boat of this size. She's a step up from the earlier Hatteras 60 Convertible-not only are her lines more aggressive, but performance was improved as well. The hull is an extended and improved version of the 60 Convertible hull with a finer entry, Balsa-cored hullsides, and prop pockets to reduce draft. Her standard three-stateroom, galley-up layout is highlighted by a spacious, beautifully appointed salon. With 183 square feet of space, the cockpit was the largest to be found in a production boat this size. Topside, the enclosed flybridge is luxury on a grand scale. Aft controls assist with docking and backing down on a fish. Note the distinctive engine room air intakes in the hullsides. Typical of Hatter yachts this size, the engine room is huge with excellent outboard access to the motors. She will cruise at about 25 knots.

The vessel sleeps six owners and guests in three staterooms with three heads. This yacht features a spacious custom salon and open galley arrangement, ideal for entertainment. She has a L-shaped sofa to the aft.

The master stateroom is forward with a centerline queen berth (storage under), nightstands port and starboard, built-in dresser port and starboard, private head, locker below, storage cabinet with mirrored door and sofa, large Whirpool tub and shower.

The enclosed flybridge is air conditioned, helm forward, riding seat with chart storage and footrest, aft deck control system and refrigerator in aft facing seat.

Actual Condition
This yacht was damaged in a Hurricane. Extensive glass work has been completed. It appears that the yacht flooded to a depth below the headliner, but enough to cover the galley equipment.

Props, nuts and fighting chair base are in storage.

Engines
It is reported that the engines were preserved. After this much time they will need rebuilding. All machinery in engine room will need rebuilding or replacement. Electrical will need repairs or replacement. Bridge did not take noticeable damage. We advise prospective buyers to inspect the yacht closely.
