Vessel Walkthrough
AQUILA (ex M/Y Amnesia) is a 50m (164ft) Benetti - the 5th in their Golden Bay series (FB224). She is another fine example of this company’s Italian flair and elegance in design. Built to ABS class and full MCA compliance, she was designed and built to be able to undertake long cruises and charters in the Mediterranean, Caribbean and other exotic areas of the world. Accordingly, this large motor yacht provides every possible comfort and luxury. Her interior styling is by Stefano Natucci and features the use of exceptional materials and highly original details. Sanded and vibrant honey coloured oak burl has been used for the yacht’s furniture and paneling. The bathing areas display the lovely and exclusive marble, honey onyx.

Stepping aboard via the carbon fiber hydraulic passerelle, the inviting aft deck is comprised of a cushioned bench seating, 2 large teak arm chairs and a varnished coffee table.

Double sliding doors lead into the Main Salon. Underfoot are 100% pure wool, custom made carpets throughout. Just inside are two large sofas, arranged in L formation, an armchair and a glass topped, intricate metalwork coffee table. Opposite the sofas is a 50” TV and excellent natural light can be easily modified by the blinds and curtains that are present throughout the yacht. Different moods can be created by the use of dimmable spotlighting.

Forward of the Salon is the glass topped dining table capable of seating 12 guests in cream fabric covered chairs. Through a door to port is the lower pantry which has a dishwasher, sink and ice maker. Forward of this is the newly refitted (2013-2014) and fully equipped professional Galley. Taking the starboard passage forward from the dining room leads to the beautiful guest foyer for use when the vessel is berthed side to. There is a day head nearby this intersection area which leads to the lower guest area sky lounge, and master stateroom.

Moving forward through the double doors begins the Master Suite office with a couch, desk, and two chairs. A sliding door leads through to the full beam Master sleeping area with a centrally positioned King sized bed, with 42” TV opposite. Large oval windows flood the area with natural light. There is an extensive wardrobe with 2 double hanging spaces at both port and starboard doors that lead to the full beam bathroom. The stunning marble and onyx bathroom comprises his ‘n’ hers wash basins, toilet, rainhead shower, and centrally positioned Jacuzzi bath and a dressing table to port.

The 4 spacious guest suites on the lower deck are accessed via a staircase from the Foyer. Comprising 2 identical Queen suites, a twin suite and a triple suite. The double suites have a Queen bed, armchair and foot stool, dressing table and full height wardrobe. The bathroom features shower, toilet, and wash basin. The Twin and Triple suites have a corresponding number of single berths, and each feature a shower, toilet and wash basin.

Taking the marble staircase up from the Foyer leads to the Sky Lounge and, turning right leads, via the Navigation Station, to the wheelhouse which has a centered blue leather bench for guests. Further aft is the fifth guest suite next to the sky lounge. The guest suite is a triple, generously sized with dressing table and hanging wardrobe. The bathroom features a shower, toilet and wash basin. This can also be used as a day head from the Sky Lounge.

The full beam skylounge has two large sofas with 2 ornate coffee tables. In addition there is a marble topped bar with ice maker. A pop up 42” TV is between the port and starboard doors leading to the aft bridge deck.

For exceptional service there is also a nearby upper pantry featuring a dishwasher, sink, Nespresso machine, microwave and fridge. In addition there are 2 full size Eurocave wine fridges. The crew can access the sundeck from this pantry via a sliding hatch for unobtrusive service.

The bridge deck offers 2 great choices for outdoor relaxation: the Portuguese bridge with semi circular seating and round coffee table, or (2) the aft deck which offers a shaded varnished teak dining table for up to 12 guests with full beam aft cushioned seating and foot stools.

A wide staircase on the port side leads up to the sun deck. This features sweeping deck spaces which are nicely separated and very functional as either entertainment or relaxation areas. Forward is a very large, raised sunpad area with unobstructed 360 degree views. Mid way is a large Jacuzzi, adjacent to the wet bar with 1 fridge and 1icemaker and a grill/BBQ. Under the arch is a large dining table with 5 chairs on one side and fixed cushioned bench seating on the other. The aft end of the sun deck is a raised area with four sun loungers all in sealed teak.

The foredeck houses the rescue tender, custom built stand-up jetski, and 2 waverunners. All are launched using the 1,200 pound capacity crane. A spacious Bosun’s locker also has escape hatches from the master suite and crew cabins.

The transom opens up to form a substantial swim platform to relax near the water or organize the large variety of possible water activities.
