Sea Angel is a classic Sparkman & Stephens motorsailor that’s cruised extensively throughout the Caribbean, the Med, the East and West coasts of the U.S. and as far West as the Galapagos Islands.

This ketch rig with centerboard configuration, is a perfect world cruiser that combines large covered deckhouse, raised salon, spacious engine room, elegant and comfortable owner and guest accommodations, with easy to handle characteristics for a large, safe and versatile bluewater cruiser.

The main rig and pocket shoe were replaced in 2011, SEA ANGEL is now sailing faster than ever before!

Three large windows to port and starboard, three ports across the forward section of the house and two opening overhead hatches, all work together to give this bright and spacious area such an open feel, and the teak and holly floors help to make it feel much larger.

The salon is finished in teak paneling with high gloss teak trim, forwards is a custom built wet bar with a gold plated sink and faucet.

The entertainment center which can be concealed by a teak roll down cover, has a 25" Toshiba flat screen TV with VHS and DVD, Sony CD changer.

Port side of the salon is a built-in, "L" shaped sofa with tan cushions and upholstery, a varnished hi-lo table that can be enlarged to accommodate up to eight guests.

Owner and Guest Acco

A companionway leads from the centerline aft to the guest and owner’s accommodations, these areas are finished in an off-white linen wall covering, with varnished teak Moldings and door frames, and brass fixtures.

Two identical twin berth staterooms to port and Starboard, both have a built-in teak table with marble inlaid top between the berths, a large mirror, under bed storage and a cedar lined hanging closet.

Both staterooms have en suite heads with showers,  Each head has a Corian sink and counter top, gold plated Sheryl Wagner fixtures, Vacuflush toilet, and teak and holly flooring. 

All the way aft is the extremely comfortable and spacious master stateroom with queen centerline berth and large drawers underneath, two cedar lined closets and a wrap-around vanity desk with chair to starboard and matching wrap-around desk with navigation/communication equipment to port.

Entertainment equipment in this cabin includes a Panasonic TV, Sony DVD/VCR and a Sony CD player. At the very aft end of the master stateroom are his and hers bathrooms with a shared tub/shower in between them.  Both heads have Corian sinks and counter tops, teak storage cabinets, mirrors and gold plated Sheryl Wagner fixtures. There are two large opening overhead hatches here as well as two opening ports on each side.

Forward Accommodatio

At the aft of the forward companion way is a large well-appointed galley, including double extra deep stainless steel sinks, refrigerator with two front loading doors and a freezer. The counter work top is finished in white Corian and has a fiddle which makes it an excellent working space whether at anchor or at sea. Mounted on the forward bulkhead of the galley, is a Viking 4-burner stove with oven and microwave.

Opposite the galley to starboard is a bunk stateroom.

Immediately forward of the galley are Bosch washer and dryer and crew dinette. Further along the companionway is the captain's cabin.

All the way forward to port is another upper and lower bunk cabin.

SEA ANGEL's large, covered deckhouse has isinglass curtains on three sides, a fixed windshield forward and an opening overhead hatch which makes this an ideal area for relaxing, eating, and navigating in any weather condition or sea state. Across the aft end there is wrap-around seating with two varnished tables.  

Engine Room

The engine room is extremely spacious for a sailboat of this size and has approximately 5'5" headroom. There is a 36 kW Northern Lights generator outboard to starboard and a 20 kW Kilopak outboard to port. Single Mercedes diesel, completely rebuilt in summer of 2006, (Work done at Fairhaven Shipyard, Fairhaven, MA) and engine awlgripped. All injectors pulled and bench tested 2010.  Hours as of November 2011 are 8,404. Consumption: 8.5 knots using 6.7 gph=2,182 nm range.
