The Irwin 43 MKIII is one of the best boats in her size for cruising or a liveaboard boat. They are very roomy and spacious with a large open salon area. This boat is equipped with a $25K SELF FURLING MAINSAIL. The 43 Irwin is a center cockpit sloop rigged, fin keel, skeg rudder with a keel stepped mast. The boat has plenty of ventilation with numerous hatches and ports and it is also generator,(New in 2008 8KW Panda) equipped to run the air conditoners to keep you cool. The interior is spacious with teak cabinetry and trim throughout with teak and holly sole. The staterooms are large and roomy each with their own ensuite head and seperate showers. The dinette can convert to accomodate even more guest. There is a large navigation station with plenty of room to chart your next course. Many new upgrades in 2009 include a new Marine Air A/C unit, new dinghy and new Garmin chartplotter. Upgrades in 2008 include new standing rigging(6 stays), new main, new jib and spare halyards, new main anchor chain, new flatscreen TV. In 2006 -2007 the boat received new gelcoat and non-skid, watermaker, new winches, chokes, running rigging, new canvas and cushions. Also new forward A/C unit in 2008, New Echo Tech watermaker 2008,New compass in 2010, new batteries, new refrigerator compressor & condenser, all new dock lines and fenders. The boat has a fresh bottom job 2010 and is ready to head back out on another voyage. Brightwork just completed in January 2011.

Layout

Her interior offers a teak and holly sole with teak bulkheads, teak trim and teak cabinetry. Layout has the owners master stateroom aft with private head and shower. Leaving the aft master you pass the nav. station/chart table in the passgae way leading back out into the salon. The galley is aft to starboard, foreward to port is the L shaped dinette with settee opposite and foreward of that is the private enclosed head with seperate shower stall. Forward is the private V-Berth with insert making a large queen size bed.
 
Cockpit

The cockpit has large U-shaped seating area with Blue cushions. It has four storage lockers, Edson pedestal with destroyer wheel and steering with brake. Mounted on the pedestal is a teak drink rack and teak cockpit table. There is a stainless BBQ with cover and mounted aft is the dinghy and davit.
 
Salon

The main salon has a L-shaped settee to port and a settee to starboard. A varnished table is located on the port side in front of the settee. There is a large amount of storage space behind and beneath the port settee. Four lockers are located above and behind the settees. At the aft end of the port settee is located an end table with built in liquor locker under, shelf over and glass stowage cabinet on the inboard side. At the forward end of the starboard settee there is a counter with a top opening locker outboard. There is a opening port forward on the centerline giving plenty of fresh air to the salon area.
 
Galley

The U-shaped galley is located aft of the main salon to starboard and has plenty of storage and a large huge capacity freezer and top loading fridge. There is also another large custom freezer located forward on the straboard side forward of the settee. There are two large deep stainless sinks, gimbaled three burner Hillerange propane stove with oven and hot and cold pressurized water system. Two new 10lb. propane tanks in 2007 with electric LPG valve with Guardian systems leak detector, gas control.
 
Electronics / Navigation

Electronics include a GlobalStar satellite system with Qualcomm phone(independent handheld receiver plus high output external antennae and internal mount) located at the Nav station, Garmin chartplotter, RayMarine Smartpilot ST7001, Furuno 1712 radar, Icom M45 VHF radio, Wind Point wind speed indicator and a B&G depth and speed indicator.
 
Electrical
Fischer Panda 8KW generator with sounshield, 110V AC system with 40 amp 110V-12V converter, two 50ft. shorepower cords, 110v outlets in all cabins, Freedom 10 Inverter/Battery charger with Xantrex Freedom Inverter/Charger, 12V DC electrical system, five batteries, 55 amp main engine alternator.
 
Deck

The deck gear consist of new teak bow pulpit in 2006 with welded aluminum bowsprit with stainless bobstay, double anchor rollers and polished chafeplate, stainless steel bow pulpit and stern rail. Teak tow rail, teakgrab rails and teak bow sprit platform, newly varnished.two sail locker lazerettes, Maxwell anchor windlass with foot control, Forespar outboard hoist and Kato dinghy davits with hoist system,stainless steel swim ladder and deck shower.
 
Sails and Rigging

Self furling mainsail with 110% Genoa, sloop rig,keel stepped mast,ProFurl Genoa roller furler, 4:1 Boom Vang, 2 Barient #32 two speed self tailing genoa sheet winches, 2 Barient #18 main halyard and jib halyard in mast winches, 2 Harken #16 single speed self tailing winches, 1 Barient #8 toping lift winch on boom, outboard genoa trach, new standard rigging (6 stays) 2008, new main, jib, and spare halyards in 2008, masthead lite, spreader lites, steaming and running lites.
 
Additional
Primary anchor is a CQR 45lb. with 125ft. of chain and 150ft. of nylon rode and second anchor is another CQR 45lb. with 10ft. of chain and 100ft. of rode with dual anchor rollers. New docklines and fenders and much more.
