The Albin 36 remains a popular boat with those who enjoy the look and feel of a trawler-style yacht and the economy of a single-screw.
"Mungo" has been well maintained by her current owner. In 2006 she was Awl-gripped "Flag Blue" along with a few more major upgrades.
A classic trawler design, her traditional two-stateroom, all-teak interior is arranged with the galley in the salon together with a lower helm, two sliding deck access doors, and an L-shaped convertible settee. All salon soft goods were replaced in 2006. Both fore and aft staterooms have private heads, and there’s a tub/shower combination in the aft head compartment.
Topside, the flybridge will seat six and comes with a fold-down mast and boom. Finished with an abundance of exterior brightwork, the teak decks, rails, cabintop, doors, and
hatches all add much to her appearance.
The Galley has Corian counter tops (2006) with ample storage underneath. There is an upgraded deep s/s sink, with hot water, front loading refrigerator and a 4 burner, Propane Force 10 stove with an oven.
The master stateroom is aft and can be reached either from the main saloon or a companionway off the aft deck. It features a double berth to port, large ensuite head to starboard with a soaking tub and dressing table and chair forward of the head. Natural lighting and ventilation are provided by large opening ports and an overhead hatch.
the forward stateroom is two steps down with a head to port, large hanging locker to starboard and V-berth forward. There is additional storage below the V-berth and the head, although a bit cramped, has a vanity and integral shower.

Hull is solid fiberglass, and a full-length skeg protects the running gear in a groundingThe fiberglass lay-up of the hull is substantial and is generally well supported by fiberglass-encased stringers, frames and plywood bulkheads securely tabbed to the hull. Construction of the decks, cabin house and flybridge utilize cored fiberglass composites in a number of areas and, the main decks as well as the flybridge deck are overlaid with teak planking. The owner added deck drains to replace the scuppers. Now the deck water drains out at the waterline which reduces the hull streaking. There is a teak cap rail at the sheer, the companionway doors and deck hatches are built of teak and all cabin windows, glass and tracks, were replaced in 2006 and framed with starboard.
Powered with the standard 120 hp Lehman engine. Approximately 1100 hours.
