Anyone who has sailed a Corbin 39 knows that these boats are nothing if not overbuilt. Builder Marius Corbin took a time-tested, canoe-stern, flush-deck Dufour Yacht design, used Airex coring in the hull to achieve high impact strength, and then tripled and quadrupled the hull thickness through the center and keel portions of the hull. The sides of the keel and the turn of the bilge incorporate 21 layers of hand-laminated fiberglass, ten of which consists of 24 oz. woven roving. Eight layers of alternating 1.5 oz
