About Hanse
The continuous refinement of successful concepts is Hanse’s recipe for success. Hanse yachts originate on the water, not in an office. Designing new yachts is a team effort: Insight from racers and cruisers is reflected in new designs. The Hanse team knows their craft: Years of sailing and racing in the Admiral’s Cup and the America’s Cup speak for themselves.
Sailing Fun High speed potential, great sailing characteristics, a generous list of standard equipment, and easy handling. Hanse yachts are just plain fun to sail! The self-tacking jib, fully battened mainsail, and ingenious single-line reefing system make safe maneuvering in all weather conditions child’s play and reflect the family-friendly Hanse Concept.
Quality Hanse yachts have always been built to the highest quality standards. Only premium equipment is used on our yachts. Our suppliers are leading manufacturers of sailboat hardware and accessories: North Sails, Lewmar, Sparcraft, Jefa, Bamar, Harken, Corian, Simrad, Yanmar, King Composit, and Spinlock to name a few. Epoxy hulls are standard for most of our models. Osmosis has become a foreign word.
Safety All Hanse yachts carry the GL (Germanischer Lloyd) Yacht Plus Certificate. Independently verified quality and safety standards of the highest level characterize our entire fleet.
Performance Speed, comfort, and easy handling are symbiotic for Hanse yachts. Features that our competitors offer as options are standard at Hanse. Epoxy hulls are standard for our premium models: Hanse 470e, 540e, and 630e („e“ stands for epoxy). They are optional for the Hanse 370e and 400e. The epoxy hull is built with vacuum-composite technology using Corecell structural foam and epoxy pre-preg from SP-Systems. This system produces significantly greater stiffness with 20% less weight.
Construction and Design The successful naval architects at Judel/Vrolijk & Co. in Bremerhaven design beautiful, performance-oriented yachts. An uncluttered, clean deck layout is their signature. Hanse’s own interior design department has been setting standards in form and function for years. Hanse yachts are known for their modern, clean interior.
